Frequently Asked Questions
Q. |
How does the Praxair Employee Assistance Program (EAP) differ from Informed Health® Line? |
A. |
The EAP is also a 24-hour-a-day telephone-based service, but is staffed by trained, professional mental health counselors who may help you deal with the emotions that can accompany living with a chronic condition like diabetes. EAP counselors inform, support and refer callers to other resources when necessary. They address a wide range of issues including emotional stress, family problems, work concerns, substance abuse, financial problems, and legal matters. Praxair has contracted with Magellan Health Services to provide EAP services. Magellan Health Services can be reached at 1-800-424-1872. EAP services are free and completely confidential.
